Founder and Executive Director

Dominicca Troi Washington, M.Ed., is the founder and executive director of The SHE Society Incorporated: SHE Chicago, an after-school program dedicated to bridging social-emotional learning and academic success for Black and Brown girls. Through mentoring, community service, and college and career exploration, SHE Chicago empowers inner-city teen girls to thrive. A passionate advocate for young women, Dominicca’s extensive experience in public education fuels her commitment to addressing the needs of marginalized communities. SHE Chicago's initiative, Urban Girls Against Violence, amplifies young voices in response to community and domestic violence while promoting racial healing for girl and girl-identifying youth facing community violence.

Dominicca served 10 years teaching in Chicago Public Schools, championing equitable education through roles with Educators 4 Excellence and the CPS Equity Office, where she contributed to policy reforms and equity frameworks. Her work has been recognized with features in The Chicago Sun-Times and Education Post and participation in programming such as Girls Opportunity Alliance and Obama Leaders USA 2023.
