Bernard is an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, a member of Tanganyika Law Society, East Africa Law Society, and the International Bar Association. He is also a practitioner of Solution Focused Approach, a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow for Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), and now a member of the first class of Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa 2018. He has ten years of working experience in legal aid, training and facilitation, and leadership and management of NGOs and or NPOs. He is an executive director of Himiza Social Justice, focusing on legal and policy advocacy and community empowerment. As a managing partner of Rafiki Attorneys & Company Advocates, he also practices law, conducts training and supervision of partners, associates, and interns. He holds a postgraduate diploma in legal practice (Law School of Tanzania) and a Bachelor of Laws degree (University of Iringa). He is interested in supporting communities on matters affecting their welfare.
