Berta Guambe
Mozambique
Berta was born in a beautiful little town in the Mozambique - Chimoio and is the youngest of a family of 7 children. Her passions include nature conservation, educating girls, and empowering women. She considers herself a dreamer because she never get tired of dreaming of the better world. Berta is constantly looking for opportunities to learn and transfer knowledge. She is a coordinator for a master's degree program in conservation biology that takes place in Gorongosa National Park. This serves as a unique combination of practical education at the highest level in Mozambique, which leaves her satisfied because she gets to combine her love of education and conservation. Berta works with young people from the park's buffer zone in a project to help adolescents enter higher education. This helps them serve as role models in their community to disseminate information on the conservation of biodiversity.
