Cheikh Mohamed Elkarachi is the chief executive officer and chairman of Rim Foam (Maucit), the largest furniture company in Mauritania.After transitioning from a career in international relations to the business world, Cheikh has played an instrumental role in establishing the firm as the market leader. Cheikh has helped a significant number of unhoused individuals in Mauritania through investments in public housing development projects. He has also improved the environment through the development of eco-friendly mattresses. Recognized for his commitment to social responsibility and passion for the “dignity of sleep,” Cheikh utilizes Rim Foam to advance housing development initiatives in Mauritania through engagement in social impact work with local nongovernmental organizations. With a keen focus on driving economic growth and societal progress for his fellow Mauritanians, Cheikh is shaping the future of the business landscape in Mauritania through the implementation of strong corporate-nonprofit partnerships.
