Sirak Tesfamariam Habtemikael is a medical product regulator and researcher at the National Medicines and Food Administration, where he assesses the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and medical devices prior to marketing in the country. As a pharmacist, clinical and public health researcher, and medical products regulator, he serves as a World Health Organization focal point in Eritrea, ensuring access to quality-assured medicines. He is experienced in designing and conducting various research methods, with a special focus on antimicrobial stewardship, rational medicine use, and medicine safety. Dedicated to volunteerism and strengthening the landscape for strong pharmaceutical practices that meet livelihood needs, he also serves on several boards.
