Gavin Chow is the co-founder and executive director of People Like Us Hang Out, an organization that supports LGBTQ+ people in Malaysia through community building, rights awareness, and advocacy campaigns. Gavin has pioneered initiatives like Malaysia’s first inclusive shelter and the first queer-affirming mental health referral service. As an activist, Gavin is skilled at facilitation, workshop training, and design and has a special interest in intersectional movement building, communal resilience, and safety. Gavin is inspired by the activist community he works with and dedicated to cultivating social change movements that prioritize mental health.
