Jamila Jarmon is the manager of growth strategy for electrification of transportation at Hawaiian Electric Company. Jamila facilitates the execution of the company’s electrification strategic roadmap, innovative pilots and programs, policy strategy, customer support, and strategic partnerships. Jamila champions justice and equity in all her work, including serving on nonprofit boards such as that of the Pōpolo Project, an organization working to redefine what it means to be Black in Hawai‘i. She is committed to ensuring that all community stakeholders are involved in decision-making processes and that long-term solutions, not quick fixes, are prioritized.
