Nay Chi Win is the program director of the Joy House Community Center, an organization based in the border town of Mae Sot that supports those displaced by the ongoing political crisis in Myanmar. Nay Chi Win provides psychosocial support through art therapy, wellness classes, and enhanced education. Nay Chi Win provides frontline care to displaced members of the civil disobedience movement, and she is balancing the urgency of meeting immediate community needs while building a shared vision of her community’s return. She is committed to establishing a sanctuary for the Burmese community and nurturing a mental health support system to sustain their resilience, both now and upon their eventual return to Myanmar.
