Peter Matjašič is the executive director of Investigate Europe, a unique permanent cross-border journalistic cooperative, where he helps develop long-term strategies to reach broader audiences, alongside managing operations and finances. Prior to joining Investigate Europe, Peter spent more than eight years at the Open Society Initiative for Europe, focusing on grant-making to achieve social change, particularly supporting whistleblower rights in Europe. He also coordinates the “My Voice, My Choice” campaign, the European citizens’ initiative on abortion rights and voting that former Europe Leader/Scholar Nika Kovač leads. Earlier in his career, Peter was involved in youth work, starting with the Young European Federalists and culminating as president of the European Youth Forum.
