Beli Acharya is the founder and executive director of Construction Trades Workforce Initiative (CTWI), an organization that advances economic and social justice for working people, with a particular focus on uplifting women, low-income community members, people of color, youth and the formerly incarcerated. CTWI achieves this through Beli, who leads the organization in building regional partnerships, program implementation, and policy formulation, creating pathways to family-sustaining union construction careers. In her role, she oversees all of CTWI’s operations, programs, funding, vision, and strategy to create a more just and sustainable economy through growing and strengthening the labor movement. Beli is a passionate educator who believes in the power of worker voice and quality jobs to create a prosperous democracy.
