Akili Hinson
2024-2025 Obama Foundation USA Leader
Chief Executive Officer, Juno Medical
New York, New York
Akili Hinson is the founder and chief executive officer of Juno Medical, a technology-powered medical practice that provides health care to under-resourced people and communities. When establishing Juno Medical, he prioritized medically underserved or health care provider shortage areas, ensuring their services were accessible and representative of the people they serve. Juno Medical started in Harlem and now includes locations in Brooklyn, East Atlanta, and the Greenwood District in Tulsa. Akili founded the practice believing that everyone deserves quality health care, regardless of where they live or their income, race, or sexual orientation. Having successfully provided services through the pandemic, Akili brings a unique perspective as a physician-by-training working to improve access to affordable health care and hopes to scale Juno Medical to additional overlooked communities across the United States.
