Asha Carroll is the assistant vice president of community campaigns for the National Stigma Initiative at Shatterproof, a national nonprofit dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis. She leads statewide digital campaign strategy to reduce opioid addiction stigma and drive attitude change in California, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, and high-need regions across the United States. Asha leverages storytelling and a contact-based strategy to communicate that addiction affects everyone: friends, family, and neighbors. Before Shatterproof, Asha was the communications director and spokesperson of the Vermont Democratic Party. Asha actively builds bridges between sociologists, public health experts, harm reductionists, and the communities she serves.
