Derek Moore is the senior brigade logistics officer at the Ohio Army National Guard. A Columbus native, Derek is responsible for the management, training, discipline and welfare of more than 150 soldiers. Derek created a mentorship program that has helped over 200 underrepresented, incarcerated veterans transition out of the prison system. Derek now aims to strengthen the army’s recruitment efforts, particularly when it comes to attracting more diverse talent. As an active duty member in the U.S. Armed Forces, Derek is working to improve relations between the National Guard and his local community.
