Fernando Cárdenas is the director of multicultural community engagement, culture and language at Comcast NBCUniversal. Leading the company’s Multicultural Community Engagement team, he mobilizes more than 3,000 volunteers to bring awareness to Comcast’s connectivity solutions at the neighborhood level. He bridges the nationwide digital divide by facilitating internet and device access and delivering digital skills training. Previously, he launched the workplace accelerator program with Goodwill Industries International, supporting more than 12,000 jobseekers with the skills necessary for the digital workplace. Fernando executes inclusive campaigns through cross-company partnerships with entities such as Universal Pictures and Telemundo. A first generation college graduate, Fernando is inspired by economic mobility for all through increased digital access.
