Hurricane Michael relief: how you can help

With sudden fury, Hurricane Michael made landfall on Wednesday in the Florida Panhandle. One of the most intense hurricanes ever to hit the United States, Michael continued to devastate communities as it stretched a path through Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia. We want to thank the first-responders who are working around the clock to sort through the rubble and provide aid.

The efforts of everyone this week have been inspiring, yet these communities still need any help you can give, no matter where you are. Hurricane Michael will continue to impact the lives of many, long after the storm has passed.

Here are some organizations providing hurricane relief and services to the affected areas:

Americares (Opens in a new tab) is dispatching professional relief workers, with stocks of emergency medicine and supplies, to areas affected by Hurricane Michael.

Direct Relief (Opens in a new tab) supports more than 190 health facilities in the storm’s path throughout the Southeast.

Feeding Florida (Opens in a new tab) works with other food banks to make sure that everyone affected by the hurricane are reached.

International Medical Corps (Opens in a new tab) provides teams of doctors and nurses to staff local medical facilities and special-needs shelters affected by the storm.

Save the Children is delivering essential child-focused supplies for displaced children and families. They are working to aid every child’s needs in response to Hurricane Michael.
