Take action to help those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton
In the past three weeks two major storms, Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, have devastated the southeastern region of the U.S. The powerful hurricanes have left a path of destruction across several states. Hundreds of thousands have been forced to evacuate their homes and millions remain without power or immediate support in areas that are currently inaccessible.
Our thoughts are with the people and communities whose lives have been irrevocably changed by these natural disasters and the first responders who continue to put their lives on the line to reach those in need.
As we’ve seen over the past few years, climate change continues to exacerbate extreme weather events across the globe, and their effects impact the lives of many, long after the storm has passed. We know the path to recovery will be long and rebuilding will require help from everyone, no matter where you are.
Here are some organizations providing relief and services to areas affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. If you’re able, we hope you will consider pitching in.
